Essence is a community for spiritual and personal growth centered in the Christian tradition, but open to everyone who desires to discover who they are at the deepest level to cultivate a life of love, meaning, and fulfillment. Essence retreats provide an extended space in nature to renew your soul and discover deep personal insights paving the way for personal growth and fulfillment.

Matt & Sonja Bomhoff
Sonja is a gifted life and leadership coach (ICF-PCC) with a heart for personal transformation. Grounded in the work of Dr. Brené Brown, Sonja is a certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, a Certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative Enneagram tradition, as well as a Certified Spiritual Director (HeartPaths).
Matt is an ordained minister (MDiv), and gifted teacher and writer who pastors a faith community in Fort Worth, TX. Together, they desire to provide an extended space for renewal and spiritual and emotional insight extending a bridge to new growth and wholeness.
